Revue of Mother’s Day
Initial Release Date: April 29, 2016
Genre: Drama/Comedy
Directed By: Garry Marshall.
This movie has a little too many story lines so I am just gonna put them into bullet points so we can follow;
- Julia Roberts is Miranda, a successful TV host who has put her career before family.
- Jason Sudeikis is Bradley who only recently lost his wife (Jennifer Garner) and is now saddled with raising their 2 daughters.
- Sandy (Jennifer Aniston) is a divorced mother of 2 boys struggling for the affection of her kids with her ex-husbands new (and younger) wife.
- Kate Hudson is Jesse whose role/contribution in the movie I still don’t understand.
All the afrometioned guys have their family issues and it is up to the super mums to save the day, just in time for Mothers Day.
I can’t lie, I have been reluctant to see this movie because the whole thing just seems rather uninteresting…and I was right. The movie was insipid and without spirit and i couldnt wait for it to end. I am sure the idea was just to milk the mother’s day spirit and make some money.
Mothers are the sweetest things on earth and I am quite displeased with this movie because it was anything but sweet. There isnt much to say about it and even with all the star power, the cast just couldn’t make this story work. So Mother’s Day earns a measly 4.5./ 10 on my awesome-o-meter.
I apologize that I haven’t revued Now You See me 2 and Warcraft, it’s been one helluva weekend but I will get right to it. Follow me on Twitter and on Facebook so you can keep up with my posts.
Come back again would ya?
