REVUE OF BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE;

 The epic battle between these two caped crusaders is turning out to be an epic battle between the critics and the audiences. With a $27. 7M preview this behemoth of a movie is smiling to the banks at the box office, and analysts think it could only get better.

How far negative reviews will affect the movie's performance at the box office is yet to be seen but by the looks of things, me tinks the critics may just eat their words as this movie doesn’t seem to be slowing down.

I for one think the plot of the movie was solid and there were some points that really soared beyond the general tempo but ultimately such peaks were too far in between and left one with the effect of reaching a crescendo only for things to fall back in place, needless to say there was no tipping point.

Ben Affleck put in a scintillating performance and his on screen presence nearly eclipsed that of Cavill, but this was not enough to push the nocturnal vigilante character from the darkness of obscurity into the light. This Batman clearly pales in comparison to that of Christopher Nolan's the Dark Knight. I guess this puts to rest our palpitations if Affleck was going to pull this off.

However, sometimes it feels as if Zack Snyder gets lost in his Nietzscherian world and fails to transcend the pessimism found by looking into the abyss of human suffering depicted by his characters.

With a viewing time of over 2 hours, luckily there are enough fight scenes and wonderful CGI that prevents this from becoming pure drudgery. Wonder woman seems to be the crowd Favorite.

By the way, the end of the Movie was quite unbelievable. By that I mean, NO ONE is buying the end of the movie. I don’t want to give anything away....

I think it is a worthy response to Marvel but DC need to step up or else.

I will rate this movie 7/10 on my awesome-o-meter.
